On Sunday, October 10 we will launch a new Sunday worship service at Spring Creek. After a lengthy discernment process our church leadership affirmed that we believe this is where God is leading us to take this next step.
Why are we launching a second service?
I see two reasons:
1. We are consistently 75-85% full on Sunday mornings. I believe that in order to accommodate new people looking for a church home, we need to provide more space. The best way to provide that space is by launching a second service.
2. By offering a slightly different worship experience we can reach people in our community who do not have a church home. While Spring Creek has grown significantly over the last two years, I believe that many people in our mission field will be fed by worship that blends more of the familiar hymns.
What will the new worship service be like?
It will have the same basic flow and message of our current worship service. We will provide a little different music. We plan to sing more hymns, but will also blend some of the familiar praise and worship music.
The launch and worship teams continue to work to shape the new worship service.
What can you do to help?
We ask you to do three things:
1. Complete the survey to let us know which worship service you and your family plan to attend.
2. Commit to an area of service that we might continue to welcome those God’s sends to Spring Creek.
3. Keep Spring Creek and its leaders in your prayers.
